Well, he hasn’t punched an opposing player in the throat yet. Yet.

I watched that game live and remember it well.

I really appreciate his throw back look.

I do too, actually.

I remember the guy who intercepted the pass was a pretty big guy and when Hayes punched him he just looked at him like “WTF?”

I thought it was a Malcolm X tribute?

It wasn’t even that good of a punch. But it was caught on TV, and Hayes was just about done by then anyway. This sealed the deal.

He was pretty clear that was his intention when he picked those glasses

He’s actually talked about it?

Yes said it was a tip of the hat to Woody Hayes.

I liked younger, more violent Harbaugh better.

And Malcolm X and Michael Douglas:

Long-expected news from the Forty Acres today. With Herman immediately accepting the job, it’s pretty clear this was all worked out weeks ago. I hope UT doesn’t sell out for wins the way Baylor did. Charlie may not have won, but he built his program on integrity. I think he deserved another year.

Hah. I had no idea he was actually going for the look. As an armchair historian, I approve. Let’s just hope he doesn’t start punching opposing linebackers.

If he was at Ohio he’d be Les Nessman.

That would be bad. Fun! But bad..

I thought he deserved one more year until yesterday. He was on the hot seat going into Kansas. His boys lost. He’s even more on the hot seat. The players are threatening to boycott the TCU game. The only thing that could possibly save Strong is to win against TCU. His players swear they’ll do anything for their coach. What do they do? They get blown out.
He was paid $5MM/year to build a program with integrity and at least show improvement. He only got halfway there.

The story about Bo visiting Woody in the hospital before he died is what America is supposed to be about. I approve of this respect for your enemy.

Absolutely.
